📍 Day 1: Afternoon Ascent and Sunset Views

  • Elevation: Sembalun Village (1,100m) to Anak Dara Peak (1,921m)

Your Gunung Anak Dara Sembalun Sunrise Trip begins in the early afternoon, allowing you to avoid the intense midday heat. Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation and transfer you to the Sembalun starting point.

The hike begins with a gradual walk through the local agricultural fields before sharply turning into a steep, continuous climb up the grassy ridges. You will navigate through “Tanjakan Cinta” (The Incline of Love) and “Tanjakan Penyesalan” (The Incline of Regret). You will be woken up just before 6:00 AM with a hot cup of local Lombok coffee or tea. Step out of your tent and watch the magic unfold. As the sun rises in the east, it illuminates the thick “sea of clouds” that frequently fills the valley below, while casting a brilliant golden light onto the massive peak of Mount Rinjani to the west.

After taking plenty of photos and enjoying a hearty mountain breakfast prepared by your porters, we will pack up camp and begin the descent. The walk down takes about 2 hours. By mid-morning, you will be back in Sembalun Village, where our driver will be waiting to transfer you to your next destination.
